Unique Ways For Astronauts To Eat Tomato Sauce In Space

JAKARTA - Astronauts have a unique way to enjoy tomato sauce while in space. Not by poured into the plate and thencocol, but by flying it.

This was revealed through the upload of the X @dominickmatthew account. Reporting from Food NDTV, he is a test pilot for the United States Navy and NASA astronaut, who is being assigned to the International Space Station (ISS).

While in space, Dominic and his colleagues have developed a unique way of eating. They do this because it is known that in outer space it has zero gravity.

Zero gravity makes any object fly, making it difficult for astronauts to carry out activities as usual, including when eating. Thus, they make a different way to eat tomato sauce, namely by flying it.

In the video shared, Dominick is seen holding a bottle of tomato sauce, then shaking it. Then he positioned the bottle of tomato sauce a little away from the mouth.

Then he took off the bottle cap and pressed the sasu bottle so that the tomato sauce inside radiated out and pointed straight at his mouth. After approaching with his mouth, he immediately breathed the sauce and ate it.

"This one is addressed to all the tomato sauce lovers out there. Everyone I've shared with considers it extraordinary or disgusting," Dominic Matthew wrote in his post, Thursday, October 24, 2024.

The video of the astronaut's unique way of eating tomato sauce has gone viral and has received responses from many netizens. They call this method very interesting, but also strange because tomato sauce is enjoyed without other foods.

"Good trick, but who else eats tomato sauce without food," commented netizens.

"It was amazing, I wanted to try it," said another.

"It was a bit extraordinary, but a bit disgusting too," added another netizen.
