JAKARTA - The Korean drama Joseon Exorcist aired its first episode on Monday, March 22. However, many viewers criticized the food and property.

It is known that Prince Chungnyeong (Jang Dong Yoon) entertained the western exorcist Yo Han (Darcy Paquet) and translator Marco (Seo Dong Won).

After the zombie attack in Joseon, Prince Chungnyeong asked his father Taejong (Kam Woo Sung) to go to the Ming Dynasty border near Uiju County with Yo Han. Later, Prince Chungnyeong meets Yo Han and translator Marco.

In the scene, the audience sees mooncakes from China and pidan or bitan eggs on the dining table. In addition, there are liquor drinks from China and make the audience think this scene violates Korean history.

Today, March 23rd, SBS explained why there is Chinese property and food. Prince Chungnyeong had to travel long distances to the Chinese border and replace Son Yangnyeong.

The use of this property was carried out on the Chinese border close to the Ming Dynasty and they thought a lot of Chinese were passing along the border.

"This is just a setup to describe the location of a character who is in an area far from Hanyang (Seoul) in the story and there is no special intention behind this."

Closing the statement, SBS apologized to viewers who felt misunderstood amidst a sensitive situation. "We will pay more attention to production in the future."
