This was initiated when many fans often asked for English subtitles to be added to each BTS content and video clips. BTS only spoke English when they were promoting in the United States and beyond.
"Big Hit made Korean learning media use artist content for a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for fans." The agency also explained that the limitations of studying Korean prevent fans from understanding their idol content.
Fans accessing this content will learn the language through a series of reality shows as well as footage of BTS performances such as the Run BTS! and Bangtan Bomb. The expressions and dialogues used by BTS members will be used as examples in Korean study sessions. The videos will be available in four languages: English, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.
Not only Big Hit Entertainment, this content was created by Professor Heo Yong from the Korean Education Department of Hankuk University for Foreign Studies and the Korean Language Content Institute. The content is structured to ensure authenticity in terms of learning.
This is also a cure for fans after BTS canceled the opening concert for the Map of the Soul tour in Seoul on April 11, 12, 18, and 19. This is related to the corona virus which is rapidly spreading in South Korea. BTS has also postponed their European tour and only Britain remains, but there has been no further news regarding this.
According to Big Hit, the decision to cancel or postpone depends on the government of the country so they cannot announce anything other than the cancellation in their home country.
Meanwhile, BTS just returned with a new album titled Map of the Soul: 7 with a single song (single) titled ON which was released in two versions, namely the BTS version and the duet version with Sia.
Korean language course content with BTS can be accessed starting today, Tuesday, March 24. Content will be uploaded regularly every Monday at 9 p.m. South Korean time. This content can also be an alternative for you ARMYs to study at home. Ready to study with BTS?
