JAKARTA - tvN has aired its first episode of Hospital Playlist on Thursday, March 12. This drama by director and producer Shin Won Ho stars Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung, and Jeon Mi Do.

If we know Shin Won Ho - previously working on Prison Playbook - it is certain that his drama is not far from a family story and slice of life. And this time, the Hospital Playlist tells the life of five doctors; Ik Joon (Jo Jung Suk), Seok Hyeong (Kim Dae Myung), Joon Wan (Jung Kyung Ho), Jeong Won (Yoo Yeon Seok), and Song Hwa (Jeon Mi Do) who entered the same medical university in 1999.

Their sweet and bitter life begins in the hospital. However, considering the five of them are also old friends, there are flashbacks of when they founded a band that showed how Song Hwa couldn't sing well. Yes, Hospital Playlist presents a back and forth flow in the story so that the audience is also closer to the pasts of these five friends before they became doctors.

Episode one ends with Joon Wan ending his relationship with his girlfriend. He then met Jeong Won in the elevator. This episode also shows the friendships that have been established since college days and the personalities of each character that became conflicted in the 12-episode drama.

Hospital Playlist only shows one episode per week. The reason for this was because Shin Won Ho wanted to try a new broadcast method in the drama industry which previously always aired two episodes per week.

This drama does not want to try to share a message, but promises a story that can be felt by everyone. Its premiere was welcomed with a 6.3 percent rating for television.

Hospital Playlist airs every Thursday at 9 pm South Korean time followed by the release on Netflix. For the soundtrack, Hospital Playlist features Lonely Night performed by Kwon Jin Ah
