When EXO Fighting Themselves In Obsession

JAKARTA - One year after Love Shot, the K-pop group EXO will treat fans' longing with a studio album titled Obsession. The teaser for this album was shared in early November when EXO uploaded a photo of a flag that resembled the letters EXO. This SM Entertainment care group is known to be creative and has always worked on their comeback concept seriously.

EXO consistently uploads concept trailers and teaser photos of each personnel that can be accessed via social media accounts. Interestingly, in the Obsession story, EXO will face X-EXO, an enemy who is their other personality. This is a plot made by EXO in promoting their album every year. New stories full of theory fill the songs and music videos for the group that debuted in 2011.

Based on the concept trailer, the eclipse that appeared on the album MAMA (2012) is making a comeback. In the video, EXO appears with an unusual makeup. This is allegedly X-EXO, a clone of the EXO group. One fan wrote about how EXO and X-EXO are in one universe. This is reinforced by two official EXO Twitter accounts. Then, SM Entertainment made regular voting asking fans to vote for EXO or X-EXO by giving as many re-tweets and likes as possible to Twitter EXO or X-EXO. An attractive promotional strategy.

Not to forget, each member's teaser is also released every night at 12.00 South Korean time. The teaser featured EXO personnel wearing dark clothes. According to EXO's tweet, the main track Obsession will be in the hip hop genre, while the other nine songs on the album will be packaged in a variety of genres. The Chinese version of the song Obsession is also included in this album.

The album Obsession continues the plot of Love Shot, where the MV features EXO personnel fighting against an unidentified person. As if you never run out of ideas, this story was made in comic form and still has connections with other EXO music videos.

At this comeback, EXO only appeared in six of them because Xiumin and DO were participating in military service while Mandarin, Lay was active in China. The album Obsession will be released in five days along with the music video. EXO will also entertain their fans on their EXO PLANET # 5: ExplOration in Jakarta tour on November 23.
