As previously reported, Bridgerton's second part will focus on Anthony (Bailey) as the eldest son of the Bridgerton family who is looking for a life partner. This story adapts the second book of Bridgerton: The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn.

As for Simone Ashley, she plays Kate Sharma, a smart woman who recently moved to London. According to the story in his book, Anthony was ready to get married but Kate Sheffield or Kate Sharma, the brother of Anthony's future wife, tried to stop the marriage.

Shondaland changed Kate's last name because Sheffield did not match Kate's Asian character. Simone Ashley herself was first known to play Olivia Hanan in the Sex Education series from Netflix.
