The Song Of Love In A Viral Heart, Performed By Jemimah Idol, Purple Oncy: Unpredictable Social Media

JAKARTA - The song Cinta Dalam Hati dari Ungu has gone viral since it was sung by one of the participants of Indonesian Idol 2021, Jemimah. He performed the song that was released in 2007 with his own interpretation. Different from the original version, this song is fresher.

TikTok's content creators then used a piece of the song sung by Jemimah as the backsound for their content. Then, came the Jemimah Challenge where the Tiktokers were challenged to sing the Jemimah version of Cinta Dalam Hati.

Responding, Oncy, the guitarist Ungu who is also the writer of the song Cinta Dalam Hati said, synergy is the key that made this song become popular again and even viral.

"The synergy today is where social media is unpredictable," Oncy told VOI by telephone, Thursday, January 28.

However, Oncy emphasized that all of that means nothing if the singer does not have a distinctive vocal character that can make this song attract attention. In this case, Jemimah has something. He was also deeply steeped in the song so the feeling was conveyed.

"It depends on who is playing it too. Incidentally Jemimah sang the song with an extraordinary appreciation. It just felt better, and the performance was different from what Pasha (vocalist Ungu) performed," explained Oncy.

"Jemimah is at the Indonesian Idol event, this is the event you have been waiting for, the singer is good, she has pretty good socialization with her friends, then there is a challenge on TikTok, she has a lot of fans. Everything is right, the impact of it is all very big, so (this song) went up again, "said Oncy.
