The Reason Lesti Kejora Doesn't Want To Be A Vocal Teacher For Rizky Billar

JAKARTA - Rizky Billar seems serious about developing his new career as a singer and songwriter. He has just released a single and also inaugurated his own music label, Leslar Records.

It is undeniable that Billar's decision to sing and set up a label was thanks to his wife, Lesti Kejora, who had already been and had more experience in terms of singing.

"Actually there was an element of coercion and finally fell. But in the end I enjoyed it and started. This is part of the process. Maybe I don't have the voice as beautiful as my wife, but slowly I learned my impact skills," said Rizky Billar when met at Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta on Saturday, June 24.

To hone his vocal skills, Billar had asked Lesti to become a teacher, but her request was rejected by his wife. Finally, Billar also studied vocals with other teachers.

"Actually, I asked Lesti to teach me vocals, but she didn't want to. She said it was because she couldn't wait for the person," said Billar.

"Because it's not necessarily people who are experts in one thing can teach, they can transfer their knowledge. Only a few times my wife likes to give input. And that's something that's useful for me for sure," he continued.

On the other hand, Lesti Kejora expressed her confidence that Billar could gain success in the music world. Despite the lack of experience, she said that her husband has many song treasurys that can be his capital to continue working.

"Indeed, because initially (Billar) was happy with music. In treasury, there are more songs and older brothers, whether dangdut, pop or pop rock songs. Anyway, you have more treasury than I do," said Lesti.

The singer who graduated from the D'Academy event also has his own story which makes him believe in her husband's ability to compose songs. He said Billar's perfectionist nature is suitable for a songwriter.

"Brother is very critical. So, there is one song that my brother made for me. So the expectations are very perfectionist. I think it's okay, but according to him, it's not like this. But it's a beautiful spice so that it can be a good work," concluded Lesti Kejora.
