Amethyst, A Herbal Plant That Is No Less "intoxicating" Than P-Fluoro Fori

JAKARTA - The new type of drug "P-Fluoro Fori" has become a hot topic after the Syiva Angel program was arrested by the police for consuming the illegal drug.

But did you know, besides P-Fluoro Fori, there are several herbal plants that also have hallucinatory effects, one of which is the amethyst.

Reported by VOI from the official BNN website, amethyst has a more dangerous effect than marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy, heroin, and even cocaine. Even the plant which has the scientific name Brugmansia arborea is now often misused as an addictive substance.

Because it has a shape similar to a trumpet, many people call amethyst a trumpet flower. The effect of amethyst is anesthetic because it can eliminate consciousness or as an anesthetic.

The substance that plays a role in making hallucinations in the amethyst flower is methyl crystalline which has a relaxing effect. In addition, there are also alkaloid chemical compounds consisting of atropine, hyoscyamine, and scopolamine (anticholinergic).

Then the most dangerous substance in amethyst is scopolamine which has the effect of "devil's breath" or in the international world known as The Devil's Breath. This is because anyone who consumes it looks like a "zombie".

Scopolamine is claimed to be more dangerous and worse than anthrax. Even consuming it in high doses can damage memory and cause death.

Interestingly, amethyst is very easy to find in Indonesia, one of which is in Toraja. BNN stated that many cases in Toraja were related to amethyst abuse by teenagers.

The effects of amethyst abuse also vary, from being unconscious, going berserk, to almost killing one another.

Because the effect is quite dangerous, it is not wrong if the National Narcotics Agency categorizes amethyst as 15 dangerous plants and is classified as narcotics - according to the recommendation of the Ministry of Health.
