JAKARTA - Singer Demi Lovato returns to the world of acting by starring in the television series Hungry from NBC.

Lovato achieved his biggest career in roles in the film franchise Camp Rock and Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance. This time, he and producer Suzanne Martin are working on a television series.

Hungry is a television series that follows a group of friends who have a eating disorder. They help each other, find love, and succeed and make things better.

Lovato and Martin are executive producers for Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner and Scooter Braun, James Shin, and Scott Manson. Suzanne Martin is also writing the script as she has experience writing the series Will & Grace.

Demi Lovato last appeared in the final season of Will & Grace as herself. That role is his latest acting after playing a role in the Glee series in 2013. After that, Lovato was busy with touring Neon Lights and working on the album.

In addition, the singer of Heart Attack is also the subject of the documentary Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil which will be broadcast at the SXSW festival and YouTube Originals.
