Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin EXO Peace With SM Entertainment, Contract Continues

JAKARTA - Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin EXO met a peaceful point with SM Entertainment. The agency released a joint statement with EXO-CBX and wrote an explanation of several things in their problems.

Hello, this is SM Entertainment. Recently, the agency and the three artists (Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin) raised the problem with different stances. The agency and three artists sincerely apologize for causing concern for many people who support EXO, "said SM Entertainment today, Monday, June 19.

They claimed to have discussed so that they reached an agreement where the three revised the contract section and continued the contract as EXO members.

"The agency and three artists will continue to contract while actively undergoing EXO activities and continue the discussion and correction process in several parts. The agency listened to the opinions of the three artists and the agency conveyed their related positions," he continued.

"The agency and three artists will have a balanced discussion and we promise to strengthen our relationship. The rest of the agency will support the three artists so that every artist can get promoted and show their abilities," the agency said.

SM Entertainment also explained the conflict when they suspected that there was a third party behind the application for termination of the EXO-CBX contract. Through this statement, they also apologized to those who were dragged.

"The agency received information that third parties approached the three artists with unfair intentions and we know the cause. Through this discussion, we know there was a misunderstanding. We apologize to those who were dragged because of our announcement," he said.

"The agency and the three artists also apologized to fans as well as EXO members in addition to the three members and those who believed and waited for EXO and we will do our best to restore the support they provide," the agency said in a statement.

This case is also considered to be SM Entertainment's reflection on the rights and opinions of artists in line with the SM 3.0 project. They are trying to change SM 3.0 so that this project becomes valuable and fairer and respects their artists.

In early June, Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin filed for termination of the contract and was responded to by SM Entertainment. Their representatives replied to the agency's claim and the agency responded by stating they would give a copy of the transparency report.

On the sidelines of the proposal, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin were seen still participating in the promotion of EXO's latest album. They shoot music videos, record songs to shoot variety shows with members.
