Synopsis Of The Secret Invasion Series, Highlights Nick Fury's Emotional Side

JAKARTA - The Secret Invasion series is the opening film for the fifth phase of the MCU to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar starting June 21. This series presents a storyline that focuses on the character Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) with peppered elements of spy stories and thrillers.

Unlike other MCU films featuring superhero actions of various super powers, the Secret Invasion series follows the story of Avengers founder Nick Fury, who fought the invasion of the alien Skrull race to earth by presenting the spy thriller genre.

Executive producer Kevin Feige revealed the story in the Secret Invasion series is slightly different from the comic version story which presents a lot of superhero characters, the series will focus more on Nick Fury's character.

"We have an idea to adapt the storyline of the Secret Invasion comic to a spy film with a more dark story, that's what we are working on and we are happy to create (stories) of various genres," Kevin said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 15.

Meanwhile, director Ali Selim said Secret Invasion would further highlight the emotional side and personal life of Nick Fury's character.

"(The series) is more about Nick Fury's story than a superhero story and we are trying to highlight simple human emotions such as trust and suspicion and Nick Fury's personal life," said Ali, who was also present at the press conference.

The Secret Invasion series stars a row of famous actors and actresses such as Samuel L. Jackson, Ben48isohn, Emilia Clarke, Cobie Smulders, and Martin Marijuana, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
