Officially Applying For A Different Religion, Rizky Febian: I Only Intention To Worship

JAKARTA - For more than a year of dating, Rizky Febian finally officially proposed to his girlfriend, Mahalini Raharja on Sunday, May 7 yesterday. The event which was held at a hotel in South Jakarta was only attended by family and close friends of both parties.

In the midst of the happy news, the public still highlighted the religious difference between the man who is familiarly called Iky and his prospective bride.

Even so, Rizky Febian's intention to marry Mahalini seems to be fully supported by his family. The 25-year-old singer brought his extended family to face Mahalini's extended family when applying.

"Assalamu 'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. Om Swastyastu. Today is a special day for me, when I established myself. Here, Iky is not alone, Iky is with a big family, and so is Mahalini with a big family," said Rizky Febian in a written release received by VOI, Tuesday, May 9.

Rizky Febian called his decision to marry Mahalini as worship. To his lover's extended family, Iky stated that he was ready to become a better person.

"The point is, there are not many words I can say here. Iky only has the intention of worship to become a better personality, and has a sincere purpose, and wants to ask permission from papa, Dadong, Kak Dion, Kak Jody, Kak Ugek, and Kak Nindi," said Iky.

"Maybe Iky is not perfect, there are still many shortcomings in Iky, but let Iky later be able to improve together with Mahalini. Thank you!" he continued.

For information, Rizky Febian is known to embrace Islam. Meanwhile, Mahalini, who is from Bali, is known to embrace Hinduism. Until now, the decision of the two was not known about the differences in religion related to the wedding plan.
