Bisexual Actress Javicia Leslie Can't Wait For Transgender Superhero

JAKARTA - Bintang Batwoman Javicia Leslie calls for diversity on the screen. He wants to see more transgender superheroes.

Leslie debuted as the new Batwoman, Ryan Wilder on January 17, in the show's second season opener after Ruby Rose quit her role as Kate Kane. He told the Washington Post that representation in the superhero series is important.

Leslie said the character would be "very different" from Rose, but she confirmed that Batwoman's new iteration would also be a lesbian.

"Batwoman (is) a lesbian in the comics," says Javicia Leslie. "I think it's very important that (it) continues to be represented in our Batwoman iterations as well."

He added that "representation is very important", and said: "I can't wait until there are transgender superheroes in live-action versions."

“In my opinion… this role and others like this continually violate the boundaries of normalcy. And that creates a new normal that has to represent everyone and not just what the majority think. "

Leslie made history when she was named the first black actress to play Batwoman. He is also bisexual, so he often makes headlines.
