JAKARTA - Lebaran has different manaques for everyone. Tika Brahani interprets Eid this year to make peace with herself after years before she always felt sad and traumatized after her mother died eight years ago.
"The memories of each Eid are sad, finally the last 3 years are trying to make peace to interpret Eid for myself," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 26.
The wife of the soap opera Dimas Aditya said that since her mother died during Eid 8 years ago, she had completely locked herself up from the environment, including her extended family every Eid. He also said that she often 'runs away' from the city just to isolate herself due to prolonged sadness and trauma.
However, lately he has been more trying to accept the situation and is more grateful for the meaning of the day of victory after a month of fasting. He also interprets the month of Ramadan this year as an event to test his faith in order to become a more pious person.
"This Ramadan I consider it like in his 'gojlog' of faith so that he is more pious, so he really focuses on his worship and so it takes a long time for that sadness to disappear and finally starting to enjoy Eid again how many years this year," said Tika.
He also made this sadness an opportunity to pray a lot and share and be grateful that he was still given the pleasure of sharing happiness.
Meanwhile, unlike other family habits that run homecoming during Eid, Tika said there is no homecoming habit because all her extended family in Padang have lived in Jakarta for a long time. So he plans to spend Eid al-Fitr by gathering with his extended family in Jakarta.
"There is no homecoming because all families are in Jakarta, actually Padang people, but in Padang there are no grandmothers here. So no one is going home, husband's family is also in Jakarta, so just here," said the artist who was born in Denpasar.
Regarding his favorite dish during Eid, Tika admitted that he really likes rendang with Minang's distinctive taste which is often sent from his village in Bukittinggi.
"I like Bukittinggi rendang, which is black, usually sent from the village, so it feels authentic, cooking with firewood, different from Kaleyo's wet rendang, which has very good dry black, only in Eid," he said.
