The Love Story Of Lara Jean's Sister, XO Kitty From To All The Boys Released May 18
Anna Cathcart (Netflix)

JAKARTA - The To All the Boys franchise is back with a spin-off from its original story. XO Kitty was announced as a new Netflix series highlighting the story of Kitty, Lara Jean's younger sister.

Still starring Anna Cathcart, Netflix released the first two-minute look. The audience sees Kitty's appearance changing to be more mature than the franchise.

"I know when two people deserve each other," Kitty said while showing a photo of Lara Jean (Lana CONTROL) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo).

"That's a feeling I know. I feel it in Lara Jean and Peter. I feel that too for you, and I feel that with Dae," he continued.

Then Kitty explained that she found the fact that her late mother had studied in Korea because of scholarships. Then she showed the reason why she had to go to Korea, not only for her mother but also meeting Dae, the man she met in the film To All the Boys.

Kitty also knows that Dae attends the same school as her mother. She tries to get a scholarship to continue her studies at Dae and her mother's school.

"I signed up for the KISS (school) and entered. I got the same scholarship as mom!" said Kitty.

The XO Kitty series will explore the side of Kitty that has never been shown in her franchise. It is known that Kitty plays the youngest child to become the point of Lara Jean's love story.

Now, Kitty will expand her journey to find her true love, although it's not always in line with her plans.

"We were happy with Lara Jean and the story. So it felt like giving the best gift to Kitty for her character standing alone and not under her brother's imagination," Jenny Han said as a writer and creator.

The XO Kitty series will be released on Netflix on May 18.
