Baim Wong Keukeuh Police Giveaway Fraudster Whose Name Is Catut

JAKARTA - Artist Baim Wong looks furious at the behavior of the fraudster under the guise of a giveaway who has taken his name in action.

Paula Verhoeven's husband said the fraudster was known to be from North Sumatra.

He was also increasingly irritated by the fraudster after successfully finding him and the con man asked for peace.

"Yesterday, I just caught one person in North Sumatra. And it was really good for him, and when I was caught he said, 'yes, we are at peace. I will return the money'. The money is a lot, 150 million," said Baim Wong to the media crew in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

However, Baim Wong expressed his reluctance to make peace. He said that he still wanted to police the fraudster who had harmed and defamed his name.

"I said, I don't want peace, I have to be punished. But, the person said, 'Mas, what if my money doesn't come back?' I said, 'Ask the police. The police know better what to do'. But, if everyone is like this, I don't get tired of it. I don't know what to do," he said.

For Baim Wong, seriously policeing the giveaway fraudsters is the right way to provide a deterrent effect. He was worried that something similar would happen if the door to peace was opened.

"If I have to, if I don't, what's the deterrent? Everyone, if they are invited to peace, will definitely be like this," said Baim.

Even so, Baim admitted that he would fully hand over this case to the authorities later. According to him, the authorities know better what to do than him.

"Actually, the police know better. That means he better knows where to go. I just feel sorry for small people, that's all," concluded Baim Wong.
