JAKARTA - Ke Huy Quan celebrated victory for the Best Supporting Actor category at the Academy Award. Even so, he admitted that he was worried about his acting career for the future.

The star of Everything Everywhere All at Once is worried that his acting success will only happen once. Moreover, the Hollywood world continues to grow with so many new names in this industry.

Everything is still fresh in my memory. And that's why I feel afraid to continue," Ke Huy Quan told Variety.

Even though I won the Oscars, I'm still afraid of what will happen tomorrow. I talked to my agent and I said 'I'm worried this is just one time' he said.

It's no secret that Ke Huy Quan admits he spent nearly a decade looking for a new role. Success in the 80s as a child actor did not actually lead Quan to his next work.

I've been through this road before I'm afraid history will repeat itself. I said, "Please, whatever you do, make sure it doesn't happen," explained the 51-year-old actor.

Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor at Oscar 2023 for his appearance in the film Everything All at Once. Through his speech, he was grateful for feeling American dreams that many had coveted.

Thank you. Thank you. My mother is 84 years old and she watches at home. Mom, I won an Oscar! My journey started with a boat. I spent a year in refugee camps and I ended up on Hollywood's biggest stage," said Ke Huy Quan in his Oscar speech last weekend.

They said stories like this only happen in movies. I can't believe this happened to me. This is America's dream. Thank you very much," he continued.
