JAKARTA - Actor Anthony Mackie will return in the action science fiction film Outside the Wire, which will air on January 15 on the Netflix platform. What's the synopsis like?

Launching Antara, Friday, January 8, this film tells of a drone pilot who is sent to a dangerous military zone and is tasked with finding a device that can become a lethal weapon.

Outside the Wire shows a picture of life in 2036, in which America served as a peacekeeping force. During this time, human soldiers were assisted by combat robots called Gumps and drone pilots to monitor combat remotely.

However, when a drone pilot named Lieutenant Harp ignored orders to intervene in a conflict, the Army sent him to a military post to face the consequences of his actions.

Harp's hopes of guarding the border don't materialize after his new commander Captain Leo announces plans to infiltrate the demilitarized zone and capture Viktor Koval, a warlord intending to launch a dormant nuclear weapons network.

Harp soon realized that his experience as a drone pilot meant little when on the battlefield and under enemy assault - especially after learning that Leo was a super AI warrior of incredible strength and speed.

Outside the Wire is directed by Mikael Håfström and features Anthony Mackie as Leo, Damson Idris as Harp, Enzo Cilenti as Miller, Emily Beecham as Sofiya, Michael Kelly as Eckhart, and Pilou Asbæk as Victor Koval.
