Usual Homeschooling, Actress Yasamin Jasem Jajal Feels Like A Conventional School

JAKARTA - The young actress Yasamin Jasem has the opportunity to taste the taste of being a high school student in a conventional school, at least through her acting in the film "Yang Irreplaceable", directed by Herwin Novianto.

This 16-year-old actress plays a teenage character named Tika, the middle child of three children who only live with their mother. Just like the character played, Yasamin revealed that his mother was also a single parent.

In terms of age, he can feel closer to Tika's character because they are both still teenagers and in high school. The difference is, Yasamin is educated by homeschooling, not in conventional schools. Is he really interested in moving to a conventional school?

"It's done, I'm now in grade 2 high school," said Yasamin in a virtual media gathering, Thursday.

In the film "Yang Irreplaceable", Yasamin is transformed into a teenager who is going through puberty and is full of emotional turmoil. Attention seeking, flirtatious, feels she is the center of the world. Tika's form of seeking attention is channeled through a striking and tight style of clothing.

"Until it was torn during shooting (due to tight)," he said, laughing.

Director Herwin Novianto revealed that the idea for this film was inspired by the film Teguh Karya entitled "Mother" which encouraged him to write a screenplay with his friend, Gunawan Raharja.

This family-themed film was made to bring back togetherness of families to exchange ideas at the dining table that some people have long forgotten.

"The togetherness at the dining table that wants to be appointed is from the side of single mothers," said Herwin.

"Yang Irreplaceable" tells the story of a mother named Aryati (Lulu Tobing) who is a single parent and has to support her children. Aryati keeps her family in harmony, even though there are many daily problems faced by her teenage children. The film, which will open on Disney + Hotstar on January 15, 2021, also stars Dewa Dayana and Maisha Kanna.
