JAKARTA - South Korean boyband BTS is again setting records in the world music industry. Most recently, Bangtan Boys became the first K-Pop singer or music group to enter the top 10 of the Billboard main charts for 13 consecutive weeks.

This achievement was thanks to the hits 'Dynamite' which occupied fifth place in the Billboard Hot 100. According to Big Hit Entertainment, which oversees BTS, this is the longest record that a K-Pop singer or music group has achieved.

Previously, the longest record was held by producer and K-Pop singer Psy aka Park Jae-sang through the hits 'Gangnam Style' which was able to perch for 12 weeks in the Billboard top 10.

To note, the hits 'Dynamite' made history again becoming the first K-Pop to immediately rank 1 Hot 100 upon debut. Not only once, but this song managed to sit at the top of the Hot 100 twice.

'Dynamite' is BTS's first fully English song. The song broke the Guinness World Records record for the most-viewed music video on YouTube in the 24th time since its release, reaching 101.1 million views.

BTS's album 'BE' featuring Dynamite also successfully debuted at number 1 when it was released in November 2020. It was the band's fifth album to top Billboard.

Interestingly, the cultivation involved all BTS personnel by taking on the production roles behind the scenes.
