Tara's Role In The Catarsis Series, Pevita Pearce: Bleeding But Cute

JAKARTA - Dozens of years of acting, Pevita Pearce got her passion project through Tara's role in the latest series of dark comedy thrillers with the title Catarsis.

Pevita admitted that so far she has been an admirer of psychological thriller works. He has long been waiting for a role with complex psychological conditions.

"Yes (this is my passion project). I myself really like psychological thrillers. I feel that in Indonesia there are not many offers like that," said Pevita Pearce during a press conference at Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta on Monday, February 13, 2023.

Knowing the character of Tara since reading her novel, the 30-year-old actress was even more amazed when she saw Catarsis being performed in a series. He felt a lot of new things during his first series project.

This is a very, very unique, bleeding but cute series. And that's something in the story telling, the characterization, the players, and also the creative visualization. That's a new experience for me," he said.

Like Tara's trauma character from the past, Pevita has received a lot of inspiration from the people around her. From these people, the actress shaped Tara's character as she imagined.

I really have a lot of aspirations. I take from the people around me, not psychopaths or psychopaths, but everyone who has their own trauma. And how they have that trauma, but still be present in the world and play along with their characters," he explained.

"So my inspiration is to take from the way everyone faces problems. For example, the way Tara's smile is taken from my friend, and so on. I used to get stuck and I joined into Tara's character," he continued.

To give a mysterious impression on Tara's character, Pevita will look different from the other roles she has played.

"Here I darken my hair. So, Tara's hair I black it to give a higher contrast. Because when she has brighter skin and black hair, Tara looks more pale to give her a cold impression," he concluded.
