Phenomenal, Sekuel M3GAN 2.0 Will Perform January 2025

JAKARTA - M3GAN managed to become one of the horror films that scored box office in 2022. It seems that it will not take long for the production houses of Atomic Monster and Blumhouse to continue the story.

Universal Pictures announced the sequel to the M3GAN titled M3GAN 2.0 will be produced and aired in 2025. Akela Cooper, the scriptwriter for the first film, will also write the script again.

So far no plot has been shared, but this film will continue the story of the M3GAN AI doll created by Gemma (Allison William). M3GAN is the doll Gemma gave to her nephew, Cady (Violet McGraw).

Cady, who lost his parents to Gemma's house and began to be friends with M3GAN. However, M3GAN's attitude grew more aggressive and endangered Cady and those around him.

Since its premiere this year, M3GAN has earned 91 million US dollars, equivalent to IDR 1 billion for views worldwide. Long before its success, producers such as Jason Blum and James Wan were determined to develop the M3GAN story.

"After watching the film, we felt the sequel would work well. So we broke the rules ourselves and talked about a sequel before the film was released," Jason Blum told Variety.

"I feel very excited because we started the plan for a sequel earlier than we used to do," he said again.

Reportedly Jason Blum and James Wan are back as producers for the sequel. However, it is not yet known whether the players from the first film will return.

The film M3GAN 2.0 is confirmed to air on January 17, 2025.
