Magic Baby Review, Similar But Not Similar To Visual More Introduction

JAKARTA - Director Rako Prijanto's version of the Magic Baby film will hit theaters on January 19. This Reake Magic Baby stars Sara Fajira, Desy Ratnasari, Vino G. Bastian, Teuku Rifnu Wikana, and Adipati Dolken.

The Falcon Black Production House tries to maintain the outline of the story that already exists. The existing iconic scenes are maintained. Old born babies, hands out of the toilet, the final procession is an example of an old scene that reappears in this film.

Like most remake films, the background is present, so the story is more relevant to today's audience. But the Magic Baby doesn't make a significant difference. If the old version takes the settings of the 80s, Rako takes a long time before the 90s.

This film is shown to be more classic with a place in the countryside. The choice of ethnicity or sephia in color grading leaves an old impression. Limited electricity and the use of lensing as a source of light also adds to the old impression.

In addition, costumes and make-ups are also adapted to the characters played by Vino and Sara Fajira. Unfortunately, there is an inconsistency in other characters that do not get the same make-up, which raises questions about the time lag.

With more modern camera equipment, of course the visuals obtained in the Bayo Ajaib film this time are more solid. The use of computer-generated imaging (CGI) visual effects for the old face of Didi's baby and by flying or crawling on the walls has also become more subtle thanks to today's technology. It feels comfortable to watch throughout the film.

Fans of the old film Baby Ajaib will certainly look for differences and similarities in this film. New audiences don't need songs because this film can still be enjoyed as a whole with or without knowing the old story.

The story is similar but not the same. Kosim and Dorman's role still dominates, but the pattern of competition is different. However, the fight for goodness and evil is still an outline in this film.

The strength of character, emotion and scene from the figures of Kosim and Dorman is so strong. Vino certainly has no doubt his abilities. As a land skipper, hero, and full of power, Kosim is played with full intimidation. But there are times when he is also emotional and warm when dealing with his son.

As an antagonist, Dorman is not someone who commits physical violence directly or swearing words. The evil scenes played by Adipati are actually more closed. However, Adipati can convey his evil side as a human through the movements of his body and face.

This is Adipati's first debut as an antagonist. Fans who always watch Adipati with her romance drama films will see a completely different side of the actor.

Other names that cannot be forgotten in this film are Rifnu Wikana and Desy Ratnasari. Both act as kind and patient husband and wife. For those who miss Desy's acting, maybe it's time to witness the greatness of the 1990s soap opera queen again.

What is not left behind are the small players, Rayhan Cornellis as Didi and Anantya Kirana as Rini. The ability of both needs thumbs up, especially when dealing with spirits.
