Eddie Vedder Launches Special Edition Single Matter Of Time On Christmas Day

JAKARTA - Seattle-based grunge band Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder released a special edition of the single Matter Of Time on December 25 through Monkeywrench / Republic Records.

To coincide with Christmas, this special edition is equipped with the song Say Hi, plus a series of acoustic songs and covers that have been performed and recorded throughout 2020.

These include, Bruce Springsteen's Growin 'Up and a solo version of the song Pearl Jam; Porch, Future Days, and Just Breathe.

Vedder performed an acoustic version of Future Days remotely at the 2020 Game Awards. The song, which was featured on Pearl Jam's 2013 album Lightning Bolt, was also included in the video game The Last of Us Part II.

As for Porch and Just Breathe Vedder played and recorded at his home on Amazon.

Matter of Time and Say Hi were released following Vedder's appearance at a special virtual charity event on November 18. The event, titled Ventures Into Cures, aims to benefit the EB Research Partnership (EBRP), a non-profit organization owned by Vedder and his wife, Jill, to help find a cure for the genetic disease bullous epidermolysis.

Children with EB are born with brittle skin and experience severe pain, external and internal wounds, and have to undergo a rigorous bandaging process every day. There is no cure for this disease.

The event also featured performances from Judd Apatow, Bradley Cooper, Billie Eilish, Laura Dern, Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman, as well as performances from Alessia Cara, Andra Day, Glen Hansard, Keb 'Mo', Adam Levine, and Lukas, Micah and Willie. Nelson.
