JAKARTA - Today, Friday, December 18, the Sweet Home television series is officially released via Netflix. The series adapted from the webtoon features human battles against strange monsters in the Green Home residence.

Sweet Home tells of an orphan named Cha Hyun Soo (Song Kang) who moves to the Green Home apartment after losing his family. But it's not a quiet life, Cha Hyun Soo instead faces a series of strange events around his house.

"As a fan of the original webtoon, I was very happy when I was chosen. I felt the pressure of how to play Hyun Soo and his transformation," said Song Kang quoted from Soompi on the same day.

There Lee Si Young plays former firefighter Seo Yi Kyung and Lee Do Hyun plays Lee Eun Hyuk, a smart person who leads the Green Home apartment against monsters.

Since the trailer was released, fans have responded positively to Sweet Home because the characters and monsters seen in this series have similarities to the webtoon version. This statement was also approved by director Lee Eung Bok, who said 70 percent of the series was similar to the webtoon.

"There is no cut scene without the help of computer generated imagery (CGI). Every scene gets a lot of help from CGI. Like I said, we tried to fit in with the original webtoon."

Lee Eung Bok admits that the script writing process following the original webtoon has not yet been completed. "If the opportunity arises, we'd like to introduce a monster that we haven't adapted yet. We want to be in line with the original."
