JAKARTA - Gisella Anastasia or Gisel returned to the big screen after 3 years of not appearing on the big screen. The 5th Indonesian Idol dropout starred in the film Anak Titisan Setan which will premiere in theaters on January 12, 2023.

In the first horror film, Gisel played the main character named Putri, a young mother who had to return to her village from Australia because her family in Meloyo Kidul village, Surakarta is facing big problems.

The selection of Gisel as the main character was revealed by the director and producer of Anak Titisan Setan, Erwin Arnada. "I have already targeted Gisel. Some of my previous films did not have a chance because the story didn't fit. Now this time I need the character of a mother who has a child and who is struggling to save her child," said Erwin Arnada when visiting VOI, Tuesday, December 13.

Gisel, who got his first chance to play a horror film as the main character, also expressed his happiness when he got an offer. "I was proud, happy and touched because I got the opportunity to play in the film Mas Erwin Arnada, the first horror film too, so I had the opportunity to learn," said Gisel.

The mother of Gempita Noura Marthen said that she did not have much time to accept offers to play in the child of Titisan Setan. Gisel was happy to learn something new and admitted that he learned a lot from the process on set, both from the director and other actors.

"I'm not proud anymore. I basically like to learn something new, so I wanted it from the start. When I read the synopsis, I also felt that the story was good, interesting and not just horror, but there was a value too. So of course with pleasure, "continued Gisel.

The film Anak Titipan Setan itself tells the story of Putri (Gisella Anastasia) who must return to her village from Australia because her family in Meloyo Kidul village, Surakarta is having a big problem. Eyang Susana (Ingrid Widjanarko), the mother of Putri forced Putri to come home with her son, who is believed to be a solution to the problems she faces.

The problem that threatened the whole family's safety began when Eyang Susana took part in the ritual of pesugihan and tied the agreement with the comer's devil. How Putri reveals the mystery of the family and completes the agreement with the owner of the story became the main idea of this film.
