Jokowi Wants To Show A Flavor Of Love For Culture Through The Download Of Mantu Kaesang And Erina

JAKARTA - After completing the marriage contract at Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta, Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono conducted downloads of mantu and tasy gauges in Solo on Sunday, December 11.

Before starting the Mantu download at the Solo Mayor's Office House in Loji Gandrung, President Jokowi took the time to talk about downloading his youngest son's ex-son.

"We download the Mantu Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Sofia Gudono as well as we nguri-uri kabudayan, care for culture, maintain culture. Because culture is the legacy of our ancestors," Jokowi told the media crew at Loji Gandrung, Sunday, December 11.

According to Jokowi, introducing and loving culture is a shared obligation. Therefore, he invited the entire community to show love for the culture owned by Indonesia.

"We must show love for culture so that our cultural identity reappears and our character, our cultural character we also love more and more," he added.

At exactly 07.30 WIB, the procedure for surrendering the panampi, a friend of friends, started a series of download-in-law processions. During the procession, Erina's family representatives handed over the two brides to representatives of the Kaesang family.

After that, the procession was continued with traditional styling procedures and drinkingzam-zam water and rolling jasmine flower roles to the bride and groom. Furthermore, Jokowi and Iriana wore a sindur cloth to the bride and groom while heading for the aisle.

After the bride and groom sat at the aisle, Jokowi and Iriana seemed to pick up the besan and invited them to the seat. The procession then continued with pangabekten or the second bride and groom to their parents.

After the joint photo was held, the series of events were continued with a tumplak procession of punjen and distributing pulang-udik (buying rice and money). In addition, a begalan procession was also held or distributing household appliances.

The two brides and their families from both parties then prepared to do the wedding procession. In the procession, the bride and family will be paraded using 10 train dates to Mangkunegaran Temple.
