No One Sings Like You Anymore Is Just The Beginning, There Are Still Many Rare Chris Cornell Music That Hasn't Been Released

JAKARTA - Last week, Chris Estate - the owner of Chris Cornell's assets - released a new cover album titled No One Sings Like You Anymore. The album features 10 songs he chose to celebrate Chris' life and the songs that inspired him.

Recorded by Chris in 2016, the album features Chris performing the songs Watching The Wheels by John Lennon, Sad Sad City (Ghostland Observatory), Jump Into The Fire (Harry Nilsson), You Don't Know Nothing About Love (Carl Hall), Showdown (Electric Light Orchestra), To Be Treated Rite (Terry Reid), Stay With Me Baby (Lorraine Ellison), Get It While You Can popularized by Janis Joplin, and new studio recordings of Nothing Compares 2 U written by Prince.

Chris's cover for Patience from Guns N 'Roses was released on his birthday this year, and earned him his first solo project on Billboard No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, also included in the album.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Chris's widow, Vicky Cornell, revealed that more of Chris's rare songs will be released in the future.

"All of Chris 'music, including Soundgarden, will be released in the future because nothing else in the world stirs me the most than sharing Chris' gifts, getting people to mention his name, and playing his music," Vicky explained.

"He lives that way and his legacy lives on. So that's the most important thing for me, seeing how people love him, miss him, respect him, and how we want more of his music to circulate. So everything will be released," Vicky confirmed.

Meanwhile, all the instruments on the album No One Sings Like You Anymore were played by Chris Cornell and Brendan O'Brien, who also produced and mixed the album.
