Netflix UK Announces 7 New Series

JAKARTA - Netflix announced seven new series as part of Netflix's investment for production in the UK. One of them, Man vs Bee, produced by actor Rowan Atkinson and the maker of Johnny English, Will Davies.

Man vs Bee tells the story of Atkinson as a man who quarrels with bees while working in a luxury apartment. This comedy series has 10 episodes with a duration of 10 minutes.

Apart from Man vs Bee, there are six other special series produced by well-known directors and producers.

Red Zone is a comedy series about the life of professional football written by sports journalists Barney Ronay and Jonathan Liew and produced by director Sam Mendes.

Then there's Lockwood & Co written by Joe Cornish. Set in London, this series follows a group of ghost catchers and is adapted from the novel by Jonathan Stroud.

Next, the Baby Reindeer created by Richard Gadd tells the story of the life of a man with a female stalker and the effects the man experiences. This series is written by Gadd, who is the author of the Sex Education series.

Then the Cuckoo Song is adapted from the novel by Francis Hardinge and written by Sarah Dollard, Andrea Gibb, and Corinna Faith. Cuckoo Song tells the life of two brothers - one human, one monster who fights against the supernatural world.

Meanwhile, Half Bad tells the story of Nathan, the son of a witch and is afraid he will follow in the footsteps of his father's evil.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle are about a murder mystery that took place in a village. The main character tries to find the killer but his soul keeps moving from one body to another.

Besides the seven new series, Netflix UK is also continuing production of the second season of Top Boy, the third season of After Life, the third season of Sex Education, and the fifth season of The Crown.
