Medieval Film Review, Czech War Commander Jan Zizka's Youth Brutal Story

JAKARTA - The young story of Zizka, a war leader who defeated the soldiers of the Teutonic Ordo and the Roman Empire was adapted into a film called Medieval. Jan Zizka was known as a reliable warlord from the Czechs in the 15th century. He has a reputation as a person who has never lost once even though at the end of his life Zizka lost his sight.

Film ini ditujukan untuk penonton dengan usia 17 tahun ke atas, Medieval memang penuh dengan adegan pertembungan dan perangan yang ekslis, turah-rah serta brutal. Rakyat yang berbelaung di pohon, pria meninggal dengan tubuh terhuntuk benda tajam, darah yang memwarti sungai ketika para prajurir berjelat dan berjuang di air. Itu hanya sedikit dari scene-aegan brutal yang disugahkan sutr Jekl.

As a pribadi and mercenaries, Zizka (Ben Foster) was caught in a political conflict that led him to kidnapkeja (Sophie Lowe), the fianc of the ruling royal Rosenberg (Til Schweiger) who conspired with Sigismund, the brother of the king of Wenceslas IV, who wanted to seize power.

In the midst of a political conflict in the struggle for power, the relationship betweentensies and Zizka is growing when they get to know each other better, adding to the spice of drama.

Unfortunately, the chemistry between Ben Foster and Sophie Lowe doesn't seem sweet, making the drama feel flat, even as it arrives at the climax where control, often only fixated on when the people around him fight for their lives, making decisions for themselves.

Before watching Medieval, it's a good idea to read the story about Jan Zizka first and the events in the past depicted in the film, such as to be able to enjoy a storyline full of intrigue, as well as the number of characters in it.

Apart from that, Medieval can be a fun spectacle for war-themed film lovers with gore scenes and starring Jan Zizka in making military tactics full of innovation which makes him always win.
