Perfect Strangers Film Review: There Are Many Shocks In The Indonesian Version

JAKARTA - Perfetti Sconosciuti or Perfect Strangers is present in its Indonesian version. Produced by Falcon Pictures, this film directed by Rako Prijanto also highlights a game that reveals the secret of the characters.

Indonesia became the 21st country to remake the Italian film. The interesting story makes this film remake by various countries and also reaps box office.

Unlike other countries, the Indonesian version of Perfect Strangers is the original content of Prime Video which has just arrived here. This film is one of several original content announced a few months ago.

So with all its success, is Perfect Strangers Indonesia able to surpass its original version?

Perfect Strangers tells the story of seven friends who meet for a dinner. Enrico (Darius Sinathrya) and Eva (Nadine Alexandra) invite their friends to celebrate their new home.

The friends are Wisnu (Adipati Dolken), Imelda (Clara Bernadeth), Anjas (Denny Sumargo), Keisha (Jessica Mila), and Tomo (Vino G. Bastian).

Long time no see, Eva gave the idea for them to put their cell phone in the middle of the table. With whatever condition the notification is, the phone owner must read the contents to his friends.

It was the debate and the conflict that rocked their friendship.

Speaking of premises, Perfect Strangers has a unique story idea. Imagine seven friends, sitting together at one table, and letting the contents of their cell phones be exposed.

In the original version, there are many unexpected elements that appear. Each character keeps something new that is new to their friends even though they are old friends.

Returning to the Indonesian version, the authors seem sensitive to the premises and surprises. As a result, the players also have their own worries and surprises.

If you have watched the original version, then the Indonesian version is not surprising. But interestingly, every character is polished with issues adapted to Indonesian culture.

One of them is the story of Wisnu and Imelda who feel far away because there are in-laws between them. Or Enrico and Eva who have difficulty dealing with the development of their child who is starting to overflow.

The player's ensemble works well in this one-place setting. Maybe what's a little less is the bodysuit that Vino G. Bastian uses as Tomo.
