Wick Boseman Dies, Ryan Coogler Was Unable To Care For Black Panther Sequel

JAKARTA - Ryan Coogler, director and author of Black Panther revealed new facts from the production of the sequel to film. He admitted that he was close to getting out of the film world after Chadwick Boseman died.

Coogler who directed his first film felt the difference when Boseman died before the production of the second film began.

I was at a point where I was like 'I want to get out of this.' Ryan Coogler told Entertainment Weekly.

I don't know if I can make another film, or a new Black Panther film, because it really hurts. I was like 'How can I deal with feelings like this?' he explained.

Coogler reminisced about the time when he often spoke to Chadwick Boseman. After that he felt he would not choose a new actor to play the character played by Boseman, T'Challa.

"I reminisced about the conversation we had, towards what I realized was the end of his life," said Ryan Coogler.

As a filmmaker, it's my job to do things that fit my personal integrity. If I don't believe what I'm doing, I'm going to have a hard time getting people to do their job."

Conversations with Boseman led him to believe in continuing his work as director,

For them to do their best job, they have to believe it. In the end, the choices we make have to feel right for me, said Ryan Coogler.
