VICTON Delays Album Release Due To Independent Isolation

JAKARTA - K-pop group VICTON has to postpone the release of their first album, VOICE: The Future is now, which is scheduled for release on December 1.

Their COVID-19 test results showed negative, but all VICTON members and Play M Entertainment agency staff had to undergo quarantine.

This started when VICTON was filming with an external staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 on November 20. Due to the interaction, VICTON and five Play M staff took the test and received the results.

Through its official statement, Play M has postponed the release of the album until all staff and VICTON can resume activities.

"On November 22, we were notified by one of the staff who participated in the filming of 1theK content with COVID-19. To comply with health regulations, seven VICTON members and five staff tested negative on November 24."

They decide to go into self-isolation for a while until the schedule is re-announced.

"Preparation was very difficult due to schedule changes given the social distancing in the middle of the second wave of the pandemic, so we had to postpone the release of the album."

"We apologize to everyone. We will return fully prepared and in good condition. Thank you."

VICTON celebrates their four-year debut with the release of their debut album. This album marks their latest project after releasing Mayday in June.

All teasers and prologue videos were released by Play M Entertainment throughout October. But they had to postpone the release of the album and undergo independent isolation.
