SM Entertainment Takes Legal Action Regarding Rumors Of Giselle Aespa

JAKARTA - Aespa just made its debut on Tuesday, November 17, but various rumors and accusations against its members continued to roll.

Today, Wednesday, November 18th, SM Entertainment will be taking legal steps to fight rumors and bad comments against aespa member, Giselle.

Giselle or Aeri Uchinaga became the topic of conversation after a post in the internet community. The post reads, Giselle had committed inappropriate actions when she was a 'minor'.

The uploader of the post also includes a photo of a woman who is considered Giselle with her middle finger pose.

"Not only making dangerous rumors, uploading articles related to defamation and also spreading rumors is illegal and the agency will take legal steps," said the representative of SM as quoted by SBS Entertainment News on the same day.

Previously, similar rumors also happened to Karina or Yoo Jimin regarding her past words uploaded by an internet community user before aespa's debut.

Karina is said to have insulted several members of K-pop groups from NCT, EXO, and BTS. However, the rumors died down after Karina's former classmate shared her kind and helpful character.

Aespa debuted with the song Black Mamba and won various new achievements, one of which was the music video that was watched at most less than 24 hours, namely 21 million views.
