JAKARTA - Although it is not the first time that he has been invited to the palace to sing in the August 17 ceremony, it seems that Dira Sugandi still feels nervous.

"I'm still nervous when I'm in front of the President, it's definitely different," said Dira to Antara, Monday, August 15.

It is planned that Dira will sing at the flag lowering ceremony on August 17, 2022.

In every performance, he always prays to be given smoothness and can put on the best show.

Singing in the palace is a moment that always gives joy and makes Dira feel flattered.

Dira Sugandi recently tried out a monologue performance, playing the painter Emiria Soenassa in the episode titled Yang Tertinggal di Jakarta which is included in the monologue series On the Edge of History.

This monologue tells the story of figures whose history is not widely known, but who actually have contributed to Indonesia.

The second season of the monologue series, entitled Yang Tertinggal in Jakarta, was written by Felix K. Nesi and directed by Sri Qadariatin.

This performance tells the story of Emiria Soenassa, the first female painter in Indonesia who lived from 1895-1964.

The figure is described as a revolutionary thinker and is said to have equal position with Chairil Anwar and Kartini.
