Note! Bumilangit Announces Sri Asih Movie Release Date

JAKARTA - Bumilangit released the official screening date for the film Sri Asih. Through social media, the Sri Asih film will be shown in theaters starting October 6, 2022.

“The people of Bumilangit are ready? On October 6, 2022 Sri Asih will be shown in all Indonesian cinemas!” wrote Bumilangit account on Friday, August 12.

This release date was announced a month after the teaser was released on the internet. Directed by Upi, this teaser features a bit of Sri Asih's story narrated by Christine Hakim.

Then the audience saw the figure of Pevita Pearce who questioned what had happened to her.

There is an interesting transition that connects Sri Asih as a child and an adult. The video ends with a voice saying, “Your arrival has been awaited, Sri Asih.”

Besides Christine Hakim, this teaser also features Canti Tachril, Jourdy Pranata, Surya Saputra, and Jefri Nichol.

The figure of Sri Asih is the first Indonesian super hero created by RA Kosasih. The comic was first released in 1954 and became one of the strongest superheroes in Bumilangit.

Sri Asih has the name Nani Wijaya who works as an investigator. She is the reincarnation of the figure of Dewi Asih and gets the name Sri Asih who is the Goddess of Justice. Sri Asih can take advantage of their ancestors and manifest their soul power into their bodies.

The release of Sri Asih also continues the Bumilangit universe which began with Gundala in 2019.
