Bosscha Observatory Denies Being Involved In Filming Servant Of Satan 2

JAKARTA - The audience of the film Pengabdi Setan 2 questioned the opening image of the film Pengabdi Setan 2 with a background similar to the Bosscha Observatory, Bandung. The image goes through the CGI process because it has a blank page background.

Responding to netizens' questions, Bosscha Observatory finally opened its voice. Through their Instagram page, they confirmed that they were not involved in the production of the film, which was directed by Joko Anwar.

"Bosscha Observatory is not at all involved in the production of horror films that are currently circulating," wrote the Bosscha Observatory Instagram account quoted Friday, August 12.

"We deeply regret the appearance of an image that people immediately recognized as the icon of the Bosscha Observatory which gave an incorrect impression of the Bosscha Observatory," he continued.

Netizens who saw the firm clarification from Bosscha Observatory responded with mixed comments.

"My pleasant memory of Boscha from The Adventures of Sherina was shattered in the early scene of Servant of Satan 2," wrote the @irwen*** account.

There are also regrets how Joko Anwar gave a bad impression.

"Why bosscha huh... Is @jokoanwar deliberately sneaky like 'heuheuheu let me ruin everybody's childhood' y'all we went from two innocent kids going on an adventure to literally bloody poci gang worshipping mother witch," said the account @neuro* ** via Twitter tweet.
