JAKARTA – A total of 30 registered participants officially competed in the preliminary round of the 2022 Corporate Karaoke and Mass Media Festival in Kemang, South Jakarta, Saturday 6 August 2022. The participants displayed their talents after their daily routine as journalists and corporate employees.

The thirty participants consisted of 15 people from the corporate category and 15 participants from the mass media category. The participants who appeared were judged by three judges, namely Maxi King of Soul, Ranie Klees, and Hariyanto Boejl. After going through the selection process, three finalists will be selected for each category. The finalists will appear in the final round which will be held at Maxi Café, Kemang on August 20, 2022.

"They are judged based on vocal technique, appearance on stage, and understanding of the song that is sung," explained Ranie Klees on the sidelines of the judging.

The Corporate Karaoke and Mass Media Festival was held again this year after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this event, BNI again participates in and supports the 2022 Corporate Karaoke and Mass Media Festival. The festival, which was initiated by Empat Mata Elang Production, has been held three times, namely: 2017, 2018, and 2019.

“Corporate Karaoke and Media Festival is a good place to get together for journalists and corporate employees. In addition to establishing ties of friendship, this festival is an opportunity for employees of mass media and corporations, SOEs to display their expertise in music and vocal arts. Hopefully this event can run smoothly and be successful," said the Deputy Head of Division I of the Corporate Communications and Secretariat Division of BNI, Selly Adritika in his statement to VOI.

The 2022 Corporate Karaoke and Mass Media Festival will provide a total prize of IDR 20 million for the winners. Participants of this karaoke festival are journalists and photographers who work in print, online, and television media or in state-owned/private companies, especially from sponsorship parties.
