Solo Singer Lauv Will Enliven GUDFEST 2022 In Jakarta With Iwa K

JAKARTA - The GUDFEST 2022 music festival which will be held on November 18-20 in Jakarta. The solo singer from the United States, Lauv, is ready to greet his fans in Indonesia through the event.

"After his solo concert in Indonesia was delayed several years ago, Lauv will perform at GUDFEST 2022," said GUDlive Founder Bimo Nugroho as quoted from Jakarta, Wednesday, July 20.

Furthermore, Bimo said that his party was very excited to bring international and homeland musicians to the music festival since 2019.

"We are still very excited to bring artists here at GUDFEST in November this year. We are very enthusiastic about presenting this year's festival and are ready to present various surprises," he said.

Besides Lauv, there are also collaborations from Indonesian musicians such as Basboi and Iwa K, Rinni Wulandari and Teza Sumendra, as well as Pee Wee Gaskins (PWG) and Rendy Pandugo.

PWG vocalist Alditsa "Dochi" Sadega revealed that his collaboration with Rendy Pandugo will combine pop-punk elements in the songs that the two will perform on stage.

"This is our first time collaborating. There will be a song by the two of us and arranged together," said Dochi.

In addition, Rinni Wulandari and Teza Sumendra said both of them had compiled the concept and arrangement of songs for their upcoming performances.

"We've had time to talk about the concept, and for sure we're really excited to perform together at GudFest. Apart from bringing new songs, we'll also brainstorm what kind of arrangement, flow, and other techniques will be," said Rinni.

On the other hand, there is also a collaboration stage in the realm of hip-hop music from Iwa K and Basboi. Basboi said he was happy to be able to perform a duet with Iwa K on their second stage.

"I'm honored to be able to collaborate and be able to do this with someone who has had a very long career in the world of hip-hop music like Iwa K," said the singer of the song CHING.

In addition, Iwa K considered that the collaboration stage between musicians was important as a forum for exploration in the music world.

"Collaboration in music is always exciting, because it provides a new space to be explored. My expectation when collaborating is that we have melted our egos and explored the existing space, and are looking for common ground. The goal is a new work," said Iwa K.

"The spirit of hip-hop is collaboration, and I'm not out of that track -- bringing things together to make something different," added the singer of the free song.
