Sri Asih Teaser Released, Pevita Pearce Becomes The Strongest Superhero In The Bumilangit Universe

JAKARTA - Screen Play released Sri Asih's first teaser after her success with Gundala in 2019. This short video features Pevita Pearce as Nani Wijaya or Sri Asih.

The narration begins with Christine Hakim who tells of the existence of two groups, namely the good side and the hateful side. Pevita also questions her destiny with what happened.

There is an interesting transition that connects Sri Asih as a child and an adult. The video ends with a voice saying, “Your arrival has been awaited, Sri Asih.”

Besides Christine Hakim, this teaser also features Canti Tachril, Jourdy Pranata, Surya Saputra, and Jefri Nichol.

Sri Asih is the second film from the Bumilangit universe and directed by Upi. The script was written by Upi and Joko Anwar who handled Gundala (2019).

The figure of Sri Asih is the first Indonesian super hero created by RA Kosasih. The comic was first released in 1954 and became one of the strongest superheroes in Bumilangit.

Launching the official website, Sri Asih has the name Nani Wijaya who works as an investigator. She is the reincarnation of the figure of Dewi Asih and gets the name Sri Asih who is the Goddess of Justice. Sri Asih can take advantage of their ancestors and manifest their soul power into their bodies.

In an instant, the name Sri Asih has been a trending topic on social media since the teaser was released today, Wednesday, July 6. The Sri Asih film is scheduled to be released this year in Indonesian cinemas.
