Power Up, AC / DC's New Album That Will 'Poison' The Young Generation

The first taste of the album, which will be released on November 13 through Columbia Records, can be sampled through the main single Shot In The Dark. Speaking to Music Week, Wednesday, October 28, vocalist Brian Johnson said AC / DC hopes Power Up can inspire a new generation, referring to a number of videos featuring young people playing Shot In The Dark.

Above all, Power Up is a tribute to the late AC / DC rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who retired from the group in mid-2014 due to dementia. "There was so much material we had at the time," Angus Young told Music Week. “What happened in Black Ice is really just the beginning of what we have. Although Malcolm's guitar playing ultimately did not appear on Power Up - Angus chose not to include his late brother's guitar parts - he was written as a songwriter. AC / DC believes, Power Up is a proper tribute to Malcolm.
