JAKARTA - Five years since the first film, Pengabdi Setan 2: The Communion, has officially released its first trailer. The second film, Pengabdi Setan is scheduled to be released on August 4, 2022 in theaters. "We want to capture Jakarta in the era of '85. We want to invite the audience into the flats, the characters, and the conflicts that occur. We also want to capture the claustrophobic feeling, dread, in this film. Selection of scenes (in trailer) is expected to reflect the film later in theaters," explained the man who also directed "Gundala" (2019).
On the other hand, producer Sunil Soraya said the sequel to his 2017 film was made with careful consideration and preparation.
