Petra Sihombing Releases New Album Since The Internet

JAKARTA - Petra Sihombing has released his latest album titled Since the Internet, Friday, October 23. This album is the last stop after Petra has consistently released new songs every month on the 23rd since early 2020.

A sense of satisfaction enveloped Petra who decided to release a song on the 23rd. "I often see the number 23. When I look for the meaning, it's good, it means going back to the roots and doing passionate things," he said during a virtual press conference on the same day.

"I'm not too focused on the change in the early era, but ever since I had children, I have been worried. How will my child live his life? Finally, I made an album about Since the Internet, ”said Petra in a press release received by VOI.

In his latest album, Petra invites a number of musician relatives to help him write song lyrics. Starting from Sal Priadi, Teddy Adhitya, Pamungkas, Ben Sihombing, Sheryl Sheinafia, Baskara Putra from .Feast, Danilla, Tulus, Kunto Aji, and David Bayu from NAIF.

There are 12 tracks from the album that you can enjoy. Two of the songs, Cerita Kita Milik ALL and Biji, were released in 2019.

Petra looks all out in releasing the album Since the Internet. He always prepares a podcast containing material for his conversations with musicians' relatives who are involved in composing the song and released two days before its release.

Every song on the Since the Internet album has a story close to Petra's daily life. Just consider C Sophisticated which tells of internet usage which is often considered excessive.

There is also the song Cinta Digital, which is a contemporary love story where you meet through cyberspace before being intertwined for real.

To celebrate the release, Petra and IM3 Ooredoo held a showcase Since the Pandemic which can be watched for free on November 7 2020 at 20.00 WIB on IM3 social media.
