JAKARTA - Disney released the trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon on Wednesday, October 21. Raya becomes Disney's new adventure story directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada.

This inaugural trailer meets the audience with a female figure named Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tron), a warrior who is looking for the last dragon for a peaceful world.

This two-minute trailer tells the story of Raya's quest for the last dragon. Raya was accompanied by an armadillo named Tuk Tuk who became his best friend.

Kumandra, the fictional world where the story is set has five regions with a diversity of identities. But, one day, an evil monster named Druun rules the world and makes the dragon sacrifice himself.

Raya and the Last Dragon was first announced in 2019 at the D23 Expo event. Reportedly, this film has adapted several cultural stories from Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Laos.
