ATEEZ, SF9 And U-KISS Join Korean Drama Imitation

JAKARTA - KBS announced on Friday that a number of idols will join the latest Korean drama, Imitation.

This is a Korean drama adapted from a webtoon comic of the same name. The webtoon has been popular since 2014 and is loved by more than 3.73 million subscribers on Kakao Page.

Imitation tells the life of idols in the South Korean entertainment industry. The players are Jung Ji So, Yunho Seonghwa Jongho San ATEEZ, Chani Hwiyoung SF9, Jun U-KISS, Jiyeon T-ara, Im Na Young ex PRISTIN, Yuri, Ahn Jung Hoon, Minseo, Suwoong Boys' Republic, Danny Ahn God and Shim Eun Jin.

Jung Ji So, Minseo, Im Nayoung will play the girl group Tea Party. Jung Ji So plays Maha, Im Nayoung as Hyun Ji, and Minseo plays Ria.

Jun U-KISS, Chani and Hwiyoung SF9, Jongho ATEEZ will play the male group SHAX which is known to always occupy the top position of the charts. Chani played Eun Jo, Jun as Kwon Ryoc, and Jongho as Hyuk.

T-ara's Jiyeon plays Larima, the most popular female soloist among idol groups.

Yunho Seonghwa San ATEEZ and Suwoong Boys' Republic act as the Sparkling group. Danny Ahn plays the CEO of the Tea Party agency while Shim Eun Jin plays the reporter Byun who always follows idol movements.

Imitation is packaged in the variety drama genre under the direction of director Han Hyun Hee who previously directed Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and Solomon's Perjury . The script was written by Choi Sun Young and Kim Min Jung.

Drakor Imitation will bring together idols from the first generation to the fourth generation with a number of interesting conflicts and stories. Imitation is scheduled to air in the first half of 2021.
