JAKARTA - Ivory bikini worn by Ursula Andress in Dr. No, the first James Bond film, will be auctioned in Los Angeles. The price is estimated at 500 thousand US dollars.

Andress, played Honey Ryder in the 1962 film and was the first Bond girl. She wore the bikini in the beach scene, holding a shell and gun holster against her hip.

"It's considered the most famous bikini in the world," said Brian Chanes, head of acquisitions at Profiles in History.

"It was one of the most memorable scenes in the entire Bond franchise," he said. "That scene made bikinis even more popular and started the Bond girl phenomenon."

Andress herself first sold the bikini at a London auction in 2001.

Items from other James Bond films being auctioned include Roger Moore's pajamas from Live and Let Die, the gray jacket worn by villain Enrst Blofeld in Diamonds are Forever and also a Jane Seymour headdress on Live and Let Die.

"Items from Bond films are relatively rare, especially in older films," said Chanes, saying he expected enthusiasts from all over the world.

The auction will take place online in Los Angeles from November 12-13.

James Bond film fans may have to wait until next year to see secret agent 007 in action on the big screen, but people with heavy wallets can get their hands on famous items from past films.
