List Of Cinema Films Airing This Week

JAKARTA - Entering the second week of 2020, film competition in theaters has begun to intensify. At least three films both from within and outside the country are ready to watch.

If you are confused about looking for a movie guide to watch, VOI will provide a list of films that will air this week:

1. Ashfall

One of the box offices from South Korea, Ashfall or Mount Baekdu, airs simultaneously starting January 8 in Indonesian theaters. The film, starring South Korean top class actors, is undoubtedly the quality. In its home country, this film has reached two million viewers within 4 days of screening and will continue to grow.

Ashfall tells the story of Baekdu volcano which erupts suddenly after being inactive for many years. North Korean military officer, Lee Joon Pyeong (Lee Byung Hun) will assist Jo In Chang (Ha Jung Woo) captain of the special forces team in dealing with this disaster. On the other hand, Jo In Chang's (Suzy) wife is pregnant and lives alone in Seoul as well as trying to save herself.

2. Underwater

After appearing in three films in 2019, Kristen Stewart opened the year by playing a laboratory clerk in the sci-fi film, Underwater. Apart from Stewart, this film also stars Vincent Cassel and Jessica Henwick.

Underwater tells of an underwater laboratory shaken by an earthquake. The crew in the laboratory tries to save themselves until they realize that a monster in the sea is hunting them. The film with a budget of 80 million dollars has aired as of January 8, although in America it only aired on January 10.

3. Abracadabra

From within the country, there is a film produced by the Four Colors Film entitled Abracadabra, starring Reza Rahadian. After simultaneously celebrating Reza Rahadian Day through the films Habibie & Ainun 3 and Imperfect, Reza has prepared Abracadabra with Faozan Rizal.

A magician named Lukman (Reza Rahadian) who wants to make his final show must face a problem when the object that goes into his box doesn't return. This arthouse genre film presents dozens of actors and actresses who complement the Abracadabra story. This film will air starting January 9 simultaneously in Indonesian theaters.

4. Titus: Mystery of the Enigma

If you are looking for entertainment for your children, Titus: Mystery of the Enigma can be an option. Based on the story of Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, this film stars young actors and actresses such as Arbani Yasiz, Ranty Maria, Lukman Sardi, Robby Purba, and Jessica Tanoesoedibjo.

The film will focus on the character Titus, a mystery-loving detective rat who lives in the city of Steamburg. In his adventure, he is accompanied by a magician rabbit named Bobit and a lizard named Fira. The three of them help each other to solve the cases that come to Titus. The MNC Pictures production film will air on January 9.

5. Letter From Death

As the title implies, this horror story arises from a letter received by Pasha (Omara N. Esteghlal). The issue regarding this letter reached a student who is on the same campus as Kinan (Carissa Perusset) and Zein (Endy Arfian) causing Kinan and Zein to try to investigate the UGM campus which reportedly has a number of mystical cases. They depend on letters containing threats to the students who receive them.
