JAKARTA - Jourdy Pranata and Febby Rastanty were reunited in the latest MVP Entertainment and TrueID series titled My First. This romance genre also features the friendship and family of director Azhar Kinoi Lubis.
“I played Rania. He is smart, fun, and loves his father very much," said Febby about her character at a press conference Thursday, March 24.
“But the problem is that he has no experience with falling in love because all his life has been left; with my mother at a fairly young age, so he grew up with my father," he continued.
Jourdy Pranata plays Adam, Rania's crush since college. Their love journey has been going on since they went to the same college.
"From college to the future, Adam is a guy who has a crush on Rania and Adam also has a crush on Rania," said Jourdy Pranata.
As a director, Azhar Kinoi Lubis doesn't want his romance to be just a patch. He wants the story to also have value and a moral message to the audience.
"There is one message that I carry is, is first love the first boyfriend? That became the initial foundation because I didn't want to make a fun drama series but there was no moral message to the audience," said Azhar Kinoi Lubis.
My First tells the story of Rania (Febby Rastanty), a girl who lives with her father Bhaskara (Dwi Sasono). Rania never looked for a boyfriend until she turned 18. He was dubbed the Tepar or Late Courtship.
Rania, who feels that her life is enough with her father, changes after meeting Adam (Jourdy Pranata). Rania and Adam's love story can be seen through the My First series which airs on the TrueID streaming platform starting Friday, March 24.
