JAKARTA - Actress from Thailand, Tangmo Nida Patcharaveerapong has died after being reported missing on Thursday, February 24 night. Tangmo was found dead on February 26 after police conducted a search.

Tangmo Nida Patcharaveerapong is an actress who started her career in 2003. Some of the dramas she has starred in are Bangkok Love Stories 2, The Fallen Leaf, Leh Runjuan, and Nuer Nai.

He has also acted in a number of films, including Ghost of Mae Nak, Love The Thirteen, and The Last Heroes. Tangmo Nida's departure left netizens sad and awkward.

Nida Patcharaveerapong Drowning

Thursday, February 24, Tangmo Nida took a photo shoot on the Chao Phraya River and was asked to pose while walking along the river from the Krung Thon Bridge in Bangkok by speed boat. But at 22:40 local time, the actress fell from the boat while trying to defecate behind the ship.

A day later, Tangmo Nida's manager reported the actress's disappearance to the police. The search began for 38 hours until Saturday, February 26, when Tangmo Nida's body was found at 13:10 Bangkok time.

Nida Patcharaveerapong's Death Confirmed

Tuesday, March 1, the police confirmed that the body found was Tangmo Nida. After going through the autopsy process, there was sand in his lungs which indicated he was still breathing when he fell into the river.

Tangmo and five other people boarded a speed boat from Krung Thon Bridge to Rama VII Bridge. When the actress fell, her manager had to seek help from local people.

The search was difficult due to the incident taking place at night and the lack of lighting.

Apart from that, Tangmo also had a deep wound on his left leg that probably came from the propeller.

Suspicion

Tangmo Nida's mother, Panida Sirayutthayothin said she had been trying to contact her son since Friday night. He suspects the speed boat driver also played a role in the fall of Tangmo Nida.

Sunday, February 27, the police issued an arrest warrant for the owner Tanupat Lerttaweewit and the speedboat driver, Paibul Trikanchananan. The ship used also has an expired license.

The five friends who were with Tangmo Nida underwent an examination using a lie detector. Quoting Tha PBS World, a CCTV video shows Tangmo's friends arriving at the shipyard at 1 am.

No one went to Pilbulsongkram Pier, the closest landing site to the incident. However, the police stated that Tangmo Nida died from drowning, not due to being pushed or anything else.

Tangmo Nida Patchaveerapong has died at the age of 37.
